NBA star Joel Anthony may be stationed in Florida playing for the Miami Heat, but his roots are firmly entrenched in his hometown of Montreal.
The 30-year-old basketball player was in Côte-des-Neiges Saturday to host a basketball clinic with young people living in the area.
Kids under the age of 12, as well as youths between the ages of 13 and 18, were privy to a skills-training program this weekend.
“This is a great opportunity for the kids to meet him and get involved,” said Shawna Malcolm, a mother of one of the children participating in the event.
